I rode my bike to North Van today across the Ironworkers Memorial bridge. I must say it’s a pretty sketchy ride…on one side of you is heavy traffic (F’n loud too) going 90km/hr and on the other side is a 100 meter drop to the ocean! there is guard rails to keep you safe, but I have an over-active imagination so of course ‘worst-case scenarios’ kept popping into my head! I rode the same side of the bridge on the way back (which is kind of against traffic). I have also come to the conclusion that the amount of proper cycling gear a person has on, is directly proportional to how much of an asshole they are. Peace!
